Welcome to Colburn's Corner

Carole's Portfolio Page

Electronic portfolios are an emerging and important vehicle toward preserving authentic student work over time. My mission is to present a web page that represents the best of Carole: as a student, teacher, leader and as an Instructional Technology Specialist. Below, you will find examples of my own work as a student in the Master's degree program at Michigan State University, important facts about me, including my current résumé and information about the Master's Degree Program at MSU, as well as my Personal Goal Statement and favorite resources. Ultimately, I believe that technology should support the goal of sound pedagogy. It is my mission to provide timely, pedagogically-based technology instruction that will allow teachers to focus on their mission: student learning and student success.

Creative Carole

It is funny. I am a saver! I have boxes and boxes of my children's work from their school days. They are older now and my youngest will graduate from high school soon. I would have no problems coming up with something to show how creative all of my children are. :-) The goal of this section, however, is to preserve some creative work I have done in my lifetime. This was not as easy it may seem. While I have done creative work in the past...it was difficult to find just one piece that I feel is worthy of sharing and preserving. Besides...this meant weeding through more boxes of old and sometimes smelly "stuff" to find something. Well...here it is... a piece of Carole's creative past...authentic work...preserved forever on this web site! Enjoy! :-)
