Now is a good time to start thinking about what type of career you may want to have in the future. To do that, if you haven't already done so in Life Skills class, complete the career cruising "career matchmaker" found at www.careercruising.com. See Ms. Colburn for the username and password. When you are done with this, choose a way to summarize the results. You may either: 1) Create a PowerPoint slide show, 2) Produce a booklet or brochure in Publisher or 3) Create a Concept map in Inspiration to demonstrate a summary of the results. Be sure to summarize the top six matches, looking at education needed, potential earnings, marketability, advantages and disadvantages as well as why you might be intersted in the particular career. This is a very open-ended project. Be creative. Show me what you have learned about using the products listed as well as about your potential future career.

Once you have completed the first career project, you will use that information to create a résumé using Microsot Word. Open up Microsoft Word and go to the résumé templates to see examples of a student résumé and click here to download a template you can use for this assignment. You will save this file in your named folder on the S:DRIVE.
