I am an 8^th grade student at Highlander Way Middle School. In Technology Literacy class, we are creating multi-media Power Point presentations and working with other 8^th grade students from the Art class to raise money for the American Red Cross. Art students have viewed our slide shows and will be creating ceramic masks that represent the people that the Red Cross helps. (See insert for more information and example) We are inviting you to “sponsor” a mask by making a minimum $25 dollar donation to the American Red Cross. A public showing of the masks and slide shows will take place at the Howell Chamber of commerce during the latter part of April. The show will be on display through the end of the school year.

In addition, the first public viewing of the masks and slide shows will take place on April 5, 2005 in the Highlander Way Middle School Media Center.

By sponsoring a mask, you will receive the mask (after the public showing of the project), as well as a framed “Certificate of Authenticity” signed by the artist acknowledging your support and sponsorship.
