PROJECT: HOUSE

(Helping Out Underprivileged Students Everywhere)

Carole Colburn HWMS)

Chris Eldred (TFMS)

Overview:

Eighth grade students from the Technology Literacy class at HWMS and eighth grade students from the Applied Technology class at TFMS will collaborate to learn about and raise money for the Livingston County chapter of Habitat for Humanity. Ms. Colburn’s students will research Habitat for Humanity to learn about the organization (what they do, who they are, how to get involved, etc.) and will produce multimedia, inspirational and informational Power Point slide shows. These shows will be viewed by Mr. Eldred’s students at Three Fires (via the G: DRIVE) and will serve as a source of information and inspiration for these students to design and build doll houses. Raffle tickets will be sold and the doll houses will be awarded as prizes. All proceeds will go directly to the Livingston County Chapter of Habitat for Humanity.
