| Goal: The instructional presentation is an introductory segment to the volleyball unit in Physical Education class. | ||||
| Objectives:The instructional objectives are to have the students appreciate the development of volleyball and describe the general rules and equipment used. The presentation will also explain the aspects of team play and offensive strategies in volleyball, which are the district level objectives for 9th through 12th grade Physical Education. | ||||

This program represents the behavorists concepts in the following ways. The Volleyball assignment is a Power Point stand-alone presentation. This assignment can be observed through behavior. The students read through the brief reading assignments and then answer the questions immediately following the reading. Reinforcement occurs right after the desired behavior which makes it very effective form of learning. The software uses positive or negative reinforcement to create a desired behavior. The presentation uses the computer as an effective way to teach a routine skill. |
