Find the house of your dreams webquest incorporates the situative learning perspective through social interaction and by creating an authentic situation in which learning takes place. The particular webquest is tied to a particular situation of buying a house. This assignment has a large social component as the students are divided into groups of four to five to perform the task as a group. The assignment takes place within a "zone of proximal development" where the learner gains knowledge with the assistance of knowledge from other students. In this software students have to work in groups where learning is necessary to be part of the group. Students also learn how to interact with particular tools as well as with other people. |
