CEP 807: Capstone

This is the final course in the Master's Degree in Teaching and Learning with Technology Program at Michigan State University. In this class, we focused on creating our personal portfolio on the web. We worked both individually and as a group to learn about the importance of preserving and showcasing our own authentic work on the web.

Along the way, in addition to the offical portfolio page, we completed other assignments which prompted us to reflect on our goals as we complete this program and how our learning in technology has evolved as we completed each class.

My Top Ten Capstone Priorities: In this assignment we were to publish a stand-alone page on which we listed our top ten priorities for this course. The list was to include items we wanted to change about our web page, identify a specific set of technology skills that we want to increase our knowledge about and say something about our role as a technology "leader."

My Vines Reflection: In this assignment, we were to reflect upon our technology development and relate it to the growth of vines along a brick wall (if that metaphor worked for us.) The vines idea didn't really seem to fit my own technology growth, so I chose a train metaphor.

Homemade Ravioli-Santanstaccio Style: The purpose of this assignment was to publish a favorite recipe on the web and served two purposes: one was to continue growing our web-building skills and the second was to help us create a learning community through sharing, one of the most basic of human expereinces...meals.

Synthesis Paper: This is my final paper for the Master's program. The purpose of this paper is to synthesize my thoughts surrounding the experience I had during the course of this Master's Degree program, looking speicifically at what I have learned about technology, about myself as a learner, about on-line learning and about where I want to go from here with the knowledge I have gained.
