CEP 812: Applying Educational Technology
to Problems of Practice

The focus of this class, which was applications of technology in K-12 settings, dealt mainly with defining, implementing, and evaluating technology-based solutions to educational problems in school settings. The big project, which we worked on both individually and as a group, was to write a technology grant. The grant could be for a real project we wanted to fund or a hypothetical situation that we wanted to receive money for.

Our group wrote a hypothetical grant to receive money to fund a full-time Technology Trainer for the Dansville School System.

Below, are parts of the grant project done by me as well as a small Internet Research assignment we were asked to complete at the beginning of the class.

Individual Implementation: This was a portion of the grant process done by me. It is a list of questions that would be used to interview potential candidates for the Technology Trainer position we were seeking funding for.

Job Description: This was also created by me and was the job description we would have used to post for potential candidates. In looking at this now, I would have made numerous additions to this description.

Nuts and Bolts: This was a pared-down version of the actual grant proposal completed by our group.
